Our Spring Fling was held on March 21st, with members and guests attending golf and lunch. Teams of 6 competed in a game of Las Vegas Scramble. Each team member hit their drive and then the dice was rolled to see whose drive you must use. We‘ll report the winners in the next Spectrum.

MOST IMPROVED FOR THE YEAR 2010: BONNIE TREECE Bonnie was presented with a plaque at our January meeting.

The Eclectic, Club Championship, Least Putts and Presidents Cup competition started in January. Our Invitational was held on January 25th. All the winners will be in the March newsletter.

ELECTIONS: As per our new by-laws, a nomination committee has put forth a slate of officers for election at our March meeting. Posted in the Caddyshack. The new board will take office in April.

FEBRUARY 15TH WILL BE OUR VALENTINE‘S SCRAMBLE. There will be only one play time and you must sign up in advance. Sign up sheet and details are posted in the Caddyshack.

Our Regular Tuesday play schedule is as follows:
The First Group: Meet not later than 6:30 AM. Tee Off at 7:00 AM. The Second Group: Meet not later than 9:30AM. Tee Off is ASAP.
It is your responsibility to check with the pro shop for Frost Delays. If there is one, we all meet at 8:30am and play at 9:00am or ASAP.

January 2011

Our January General Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 11th at 2:30 PM

We had the biggest turn out yet for our combined 3-Par/Regulation Christmas Party on December 9th. It is so nice to get together for the Holidays and again there were lots great door prizes, lots of stuffed toys for needy children and lots of Christmas spirit.

More spirit was evident for our annual Christmas Santa Scramble, held on December 14th. Santa co-operated with sunny skies and warmer temperatures.

Our Invitational will be held on January 25th. We will host Desert Crest, Lake Tamarisk and Indio. Look for the sign up sheets to participate in the caddy shack and at the January meeting.

Big Sister/Little Sister was played on November 30th. We had lots of fun and a great lunch!

We are hosting Guys and Dolls on Dec. 3rd, and will report on that in next month’s Sprectrum.

And we’re all looking forward to our Christmas Luncheon at The Classic Club on Dec. 9th, when both Par 3 and Regulation will be together again to celebrate the holidays. Dec. 2nd is the last day to make your reservation - Contact Sylvia Gibbs: (760) 343-3830. Hope to see lots of you there.

(We actually tee off as soon as we can – according to play of the early group.)

November 2010

Hi Everyone, all those that are back this month.....

Here we are at a new golf season already. Hope everyone had a great summer.

We have a lot of new things happening in our club this year. First of all we are changing over our handicapping system. More information on this at our November meeting. Then we are hosting the Guys and Dolls Golf in December, so we will discuss this in November also.

The first board meeting will be on November 8th at 9:00am in the clubhouse.

The first General Meeting will be on November 9th at 2:30pm in the clubhouse, please try to make this meeting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great season.

Did you know you could deem your ball unplayable in any circumstance, anywhere on the course (other than a water hazard) taking one stroke...?

May 2010

The meeting in April was our last meeting of the season. Our snowbirds have left or will be leaving soon and summer is around the corner – even if the weather hasn’t felt that way yet.
Our last away play for the season was at Desert Crest on March 16th. Everyone had a fun day and we had some winners! Congratulations to the following:

It was announced that our 3-Par/Regulation Christmas Party will be held at The Classic Club, December 9, 2010. Details will be discussed at our November meeting. ALSO, 3-Par we will host the Guys & Dolls Tournament on Friday, December 10, 2010. Looks like a great year is shaping up!!
President Carol thanked all the ladies on the Board, for their help and contributions and provided cup cakes and ice cream for our final meeting, wishing everyone a great summer.
Play will continue on Tuesdays through the month of June. Check on the Caddy Shack bulletin board for announcement of Play check in and starting times.
