The Tri Palm Landyachters will close out this season with an exciting RV outing in the Tombstone area of Arizona. A very special part of this outing will be a tour of the famous Kerschner caverns. Get updated information about this outing during our business meeting, Wednesday, April 6th, 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm., Shenandoah clubhouse (Sip, Oasis Bar and Dip)

We will start our coming 2011-2012 season with an outing to the Joshua Tree Lake RV Park October 21, 22, 23 return the 24th. There will not be any particular schedule, simply enjoy a campfire, the stars, smores and hot dogs: Whatever!. There will be a meeting at a member’s home prior to the outing: Time and location TBA. Cowen/Bauer wagon masters.

March 2011

Landyachters welcome the Tri Palm Estate community to attend our Annual fund raiser, OPEN AUC-TION to be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 pm at the Shenandoah club-house. Participants can come early to view the items for auction from 5:00 until 5:30 pm. The auction as always offers a fun evening along with offering a variety of interesting items for sale. The auction is part of a Spring Fling event held by the Landyachters which will include a golf tournament and dinner on Wednesday, March 16th. 2011. More details on the tournament during our March Business meeting.

Continuing our busy March schedule is our monthly outing to Lake Elsinore. Jules and Leslie Mead are wagon masters for this event along with Ted and BJ Brower as assistant wagon masters.

The Landyachters will leave for Lake Elsinore Sunday, March 20th returning Wednesday March 23rd, 2011. There will be a variety of lakeside activities along with checking out points of interest in the area. We always have lots of outdoor fun.

The next business meeting for the Tri Palm Landyachters will be Wednesday, March 2, from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at the Shenandoah Clubhouse. REMEMBER: THIS MEETING DATE MARKS OUR COMPLETION OF SCHEDULING WAGON MASTERS FOR THE COMING YEAR/SEASON.



February 2011

Lots of happenings with the Land Yachters the next few months: Our next business meeting is Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at the Clubhouse. Remember our social time with sip and dip then, February 13, 14, 15 return on the16th is our outing to Oak Creek RV Resort in El Cajon and the San Diego area.

Plans are getting a finishing touch for, March 10, 2011 will be our annual Auction Fund Raiser, then our Spring Fling, March 16th with a golf tournament and dinner. Details about Spring Fling and the auction will be out at our February business meeting.



January 2011

Happy New Year!

The January business meeting for the Land Yachters will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 4:30 until 6:00 PM, Clubhouse. Remember Sip (drink from the Oasis) and Dip. Each member is asked to bring an "appetizer" for 8-10 people.

January is the month to begin scheduling wagon masters for 2011 and 2012. It would be a true adventure to get wagon masters for Oct (2011) to April (2012). Awaken that volunteering spirit to make "it" happen. Our Valentine outing to Oak Creek, San Diego will be February 13, 14, 15. leave on the 16th . More information about this outing as well as the March Lake Ellsinore outing at our January business meeting. Keep in mind the Alaska trip in May, 2011. Jules and Leslie Mead will visit with everyone about this fabulous trip during our February business meeting.

December 2010

The Tri Palm Landyachters are gearing up for a Holiday outing to the beautiful Springs at Borrego RV Resort, December 5th, 6th,7th and 8th. We are excited to have four guest RV enthusiast with us while in Borrego. Just a reminder that October to December 31st is membership renewal time. B.J. Brower will accept your dues from now through December. Leslie Mead our treasurer will be out of town for a short time. Our next business meeting will be Wednesday, December 1st., 2010, 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. in the Clubhouse. Bring some tasty treats for "sip (for cocktails we use the Clubhouse Bar) and dip". At this meeting we will hear from Jerry and Judy Shallenburger about our January outing which is going to be very exciting! An important note: during the January business meeting Jules and Leslie Mead will talk with us about their adventurous trip offer to Alaska coming up in 2011. It can be said, "This Alaskan trip is a once in a life time event".

November 2010

Our next business meeting will be November 3rd, 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the Clubhouse. Plan to bring “sip and dip” (remember the “sip” part must be purchased at the club house) to enjoy with fellow Landyachters after the meeting.

At this meeting we will hear all about Our Christmas/Holiday outing at The Springs in Borrego December 5, 6, 7, out on the 8th. Also, get previews as to future outings. It is time to renew Landyachter annual memberships. Membership renewal must be in by December 31, 2010. The only exception to this deadline will be individual request for extension. You can renew your membership at any business meeting. We have some interesting outings coming up this season.

October 2010

A big welcome back to the Tri Palm Land Yachters..and to all those in our community of Tri Palm Estates. We are starting a Land Yachter season with things to do from the get-go.

Our annual Christmas outing, The Springs at Borrego, December 5,6,7, leave on the 8th will be high on the agenda during our Wednesday, November 3, 2010 business meeting in the clubhouse meeting room at 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Remember our Sip and Dip (cocktails, etc. purchased from the Cantina). The Borrego outing is going to be FUN.

We will get preliminary plans, during this meeting, for our January outing. A reminder for your calendars: a business meeting will be held December 1, 2010, Wednesday, 4:30 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. We will finalize plans for our trip to Borrego Springs. We will not have a business meeting at Borrego Springs. October through December is our official membership renewal. You can pay your membership dues to the treasurer at anytime, but, a great time would be when attending a business meeting.

The Board (includes the spouse, etc.) will meet Thursday, October, 21, 2010 at the home of Wesley and Omer, 33091 Guadalajara Drive (near corner of Acapulco and Guadalajara) 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m..: to Finalize plans for the trip to Borrego. Coffee/ orange juice and sweets will be available.

A great time was had by all Land Yachters during our recent meeting, Wednesday, April 7th in the home of Milt and Marian Nelson. It was exciting to hear the wagon masters give an over view of outings for the coming season 2010-2011. What a variety of interesting RVing locations! Everything from Arizona caves, Santa Anita horse racing, Colorado River, Lake Elsinore to our Christmas experience in the Springs at Borrego . We will now take a summer break, here in Thousand Palms until fall. Best wishes to everyone for a festive summer along with highly charged positive thoughts sent to those of our group who are overcoming some medical issues. The Land Yachters will reunite for our first business meeting, November 3, 2010, 4:30 P.M. in the Club at Shenandoah Springs, Bring "Sip" and Dip.
